Surgery Times

** Extended Access Appointments**

With effect from Monday 24th September 2018, Peak and Dales Medical Partnership is part of a pilot in the Dales locality whereby any patient in the area from Hope in the North down to Matlock in the South can obtain an appointment with a GP any day of the week through until 8.00 pm and on a Saturday or Sunday. Our reception staff are important members of the practice team and like all members of the team are bound to respect patient confidentiality. They have undertaken training to enable them to ask patients briefly why they need to be seen.

This is to ensure that eavery patient receives the most appropriate care, from the most appropriate person for the appropriate time.

If you would like to discuss matter in privacy this can be arranged, please ask the receptionist

Ordering a Prescription

When telephoning for a repeat prescription, can you please ring at any time after 10am, to avoid any delays in answering your call. As before 10am is our busiest time. Many thanks!

Open Surgery is for urgent problems; something you feel that cannot wait for the next bookable appoinment. Appointments better seen in a booked appointment include: medication reviews, results, reviews, longstanding symptoms, multiple problems.

All Patients will be put on a generic (joint) list and be seen in order that they arrive by the GP's on duty. Patients can only specify if they need to see a male or female GP (obviously if a male available on that day) If you wish to see a specific GP then please make an appointment

Triage Telephone List If you feel that you need to see a GP the same day, the receptionist can offer you a Triage Telephone call. The doctor will ring and offer you an appointment if necessary
